Rental Guidelines

Before reserving any equipment...

Please take some time to read our equipment rental rules below. You can also familiarize yourself with our Frequently Asked Questions. This will ensure you have an enjoyable experience on the water. Reminder: these are private rentals that do not come with a captain or a guide.

Eligible Renters

The Renter must be 21+ years of age and meet the following requirements:

  • Must have a current & valid driver's license.

  • Experience is required to rent motorized equipment.

  • Any guest rider who wishes to drive must be 18+ years old

  • Credit/Debit card with $5,000 available balance must be on file -OR- insurance must be purchased before departure.

Rental Agreements, Waivers, & Rules

  • To reserve your equipment, full payment is taken at the time of reservation.

  • The Rental Agreement & waivers must be signed prior to departure.

  • Each and every individual participating in any capacity must sign a waiver.

  • All equipment must be operated in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations including but not limited to laws regarding the use of drugs and alcohol. DUI laws apply and are enforced by TWRA.

  • Each piece of equipment will only accommodate a designated number of passengers, if any. Picking up extra, undisclosed guests after departure will result in a minimum $500 penalty.

  • A copy of a credit card and driver's license will be held on file.

  • Water-based equipment may not be taken beyond 7 miles in either direction on the river. Ask us for reference areas to explore within our parameters and view our guide here.

Watercraft Safety

  • Please review the following Safety Videos (👈link), paying specific attention to "Righting a PWC in Open Water". We want you to have a fun, stress-free experience and that starts with knowledge, training, and a commitment to safety.

  • Towing or pulling anything is only permitted with our permission, discussed ahead of time. All equipment is at the responsibility of the customer - experience required.

  • Fireworks and firearms (including flares) are prohibited.

  • Fishing and fishing equipment can be approved on a case-by-case basis.

  • Children 12 and under are required by law to wear a life jacket. We do recommend purchasing individually-approved life vests for children 12 and under to ensure ideal safety and a comfortable fit. A life jacket for any child under the age of 3 must be provided by a parental guardian.

Refueling

  • The driver shall not, except in the case of an emergency, place fuel in the gas tank from any source other than CCR-approved vendors.

  • If the CCR staff is needed to bring you gas to refuel while on the water, a $500 charge will be applied.

  • Refueling is at the renter's expense. Rental does not include fuel. Any fuel used during your rental time must be refueled and charged upon arrival back to base.

Damages

  • The Renter is responsible for all damages incurred during the rental period. The Renter must submit a credit card at the beginning of the rental for CCR. Any money owed due to damages incurred or violations of the contract will be taken from the card on file. A professional assessment of damages will be made to determine repair cost and the renter will be notified within seven (7) business days (subject to availability).

  • If any damages occur as a result of the Authorized Driver or any other party members on the PWCs while on the water, which results in needing a tow, a minimum $500 charge will be applied.

  • A late fee of $25 every 15 minutes will be charged to the credit card on file if the equipment is not back and ready by the end of your reservation.

  • If there is damage to the equipment due to negligence, which results in the rental being taken out of availability, you can be held responsible for both the damages and the revenue lost while the boat is being repaired for continued use.

Inclement Weather Policy

  • There are NO REFUNDS for inclement weather conditions. If there are inclement weather conditions, guests can move their reservation to another time during the current season.

  • Inclement weather is defined by the National Weather Service as high winds, lighting, or thunder. CCR will determine the weather safety at or near the docking point. If the weather turns severe while you are out on the water, seek shelter immediately in a safe place or protected shoreline where you can anchor the equipment.
